Environment Friendly Chevy Parts
This year Chevrolet or popularly known as Chevy has unveiled its lineup of upcoming cars and concepts. Surely this will again gain great acclamation in the automotive world just like what other Chevy models have achieved. Ever since Chevrolet has been committed in creating cars that are economic and environmentfriendly. One of the car models that this company offers is the hybrid Silverado that is equipped with environmental friendly Chevy parts. This somehow answers and clears the perverted mentality of some people with regards to the cars contribution to environmental degradation.
In particular the basic car byproduct that contributes to pollution is its gas emission. In one way or another this emission may affect the environment as well as human health. It is now a matter of intervention of car makers by way of integrating emission filtering Chevy parts or by inventing another form of engine that is not gasoline or combustible fuel dependent. But with the aggressive moves of car manufacturers in answering several environmental disputes Chevrolet has managed to make a way by utilizing parts that somehow lower the effects of gas emissions to the atmosphere.
In the 70s Catalytic converters have become a widely acclaimed pollution controlling device. Until now most cars including those made by Chevrolet are using this gas converter. Catalytic converters are considered essential Chevy parts that greatly helped in the preservation of the environment. They serve as post combustion mechanisms that alter certain dangerous gas emissions such as carbon monoxide and nitrous oxides NOx. This device is located along the exhaust pipe from under the chassis. Another environmentfriendly Chevy part is the EGR which stands for Exhaust Gas Recirculation. This EGR is responsible for deadening the nitrous oxide compound by circulating it back to the combustion cylinder. This is mounted in the engine assembly. An EGR is needed in cars because a catalytic Converter is not enough to convert NOx gases into simpler compounds.
At this point Chevrolet has integrated another pollution controlling addon. In fact this is equipped in its upcoming truck the 2008 3500HD Silverado. The company tagged this device a DPF or Diesel Particulate Filter. This device helps lower the soot emission of diesel engines. The integration of this device to diesel engine vehicles is in line with the Euro 5s standards on gaseous emissions. With this the company proved that there are really environmental friendly Chevy parts.

Electric Car Short History
People become interested in the electric vehicles since 1830 when Joseph Henry invented the electric DC direct connect motor.
Only after the invention of rechargeable batteries in 1859 by Gaston Plante the electric cars were starting to become viable.
In the 1912 were over 34.000 electric vehicles. The EV industry vanished with the invention of the electric starter for gaspowered cars and also because of the cheap price of gasoline.
The oil crisis in the 1970s mede the EVs to remerge. General Motors Ford Sebring/Vanguard and many others started to experiment in the EV field but with no success to make profits because of the high cost.
In the 1980s th e poution cause by gaspowered cars was beginning to get out of control.
The carmakers sought ways to improve the air quality but they were not willing to risk entering th EV industry.
The only electric cars you could see on the roads those days were actually converted from gaspowered cars.
With the development of new type of batteries in the 1990s car makers were once again interested in the EVs.
These new batteries were making EVs viable by increasing thei range and performance.
But still because of the high price of the batteries the average consumer couldnt get one.
The many clients for EVs were the companies that needed vehicles that would travel short distances at a time.
The best thing at an EV is the fact that it is extremely quiet it can be recharged for practically nothing compared to gas prices and it is nearly maintenance free not to mention the very low pollution level.
EVs are coming back and it looks like this time they will be here to stay.

Die Hard 1988 is the first action film in the Die Hard series. The film was produced by Lawrence and Charles Gordon along with Joel Silver.
It was written by Jeb Stuart and Steven E. de Souza stars Bruce Willis Bonnie Bedelia Alan Rickman Paul Gleason Alexander Godunov Reginald VelJohnson and William Atherton and was directed by John McTiernan. A critical and commercial success Die Hard propelled Willis’ film career and established Rickman as a popular portrayer of villains in American film. The film also started the Die Hard series.
The movie is based on a 1979 novel by Roderick Thorp titled Nothing Lasts Forever itself a sequel to the book The Detective which was previously made into a 1968 movie starring Frank Sinatra.
Plot
Fox Plaza in Los Angeles portrayed in the film as “Nakatomi Plaza”
John McClane a detective with the New York City Police Department arrives in Los Angeles on Christmas Eve attempting to reunite and reconcile with his estranged wife Holly who is attending a Christmas party thrown by her employer the fictional Japanbased Nakatomi Corporation at its American branchoffice headquarters the highrise Nakatomi Plaza on the 30th floor. While McClane refreshes himself from his flight they see each other for the first time in several months and have an argument over her use of her maiden name Gennero but Holly is soon called away to make a speech. As the party continues a group of 12 apparent terrorists actually robbers led by Hans Gruber seize the building and engage in panic fire as they roundup the partygoers as hostages. McClane was able to escape from the floor without his shoes and runs up the stairwell to check out the building’s top floors. He watches as Gruber and 3 henchmen question Joseph Takagi Holly’s boss.
Gruber explains to Takagi that his intention is to steal 640 million in bearer bonds stored in the building’s vault and demands from Takagi the access code to the corporation’s computer system which is the first step in unlocking the vault. When Takagi refuses to give Gruber the code saying that he does not have it and that it is useless to Gruber anyway Gruber kills Takagi. McClane is upset that he was unable to save Takagi and sneaks away before he is seen by any of the robbers. Karl Gruber’s presumed secondincommand however senses that there may be a problem.
McClane realizing that the building’s phone lines have been cut desperately looks for a way to alert the local police. He sets off the fire alarm and the fire department responds rapidly. However Gruber’s men cancel the alarm and hunt down McClane. McClane kills Tony Karl’s brother and secures a twoway radio and machine gun before placing Tony’s body on an elevator and sending it down to the 30th floor for everyone to see. McClane hides on top of the elevator to listen to the robbers’ response and try to learn more about them and their plans. Meanwhile Karl upset by his brother’s death and believing McClane to be a serious threat swears revenge against McClane but Gruber insists that he be patient while Theo the group’s technical expert breaks each of the vault’s first six locks and the explosives team rigs up C4 explosives beneath the building’s roof.
Gruber and his men listen over the radio as McClane contacts the Los Angeles Police Department who are skeptical in part because of the earlier “false” fire alarm. LAPD Sergeant Al Powell drives around the building checks the lobby and begins to drive off after finding nothing amiss. However McClane has just killed two more of Gruber’s men and secures Powell’s attention by dropping one of the corpses onto Powell’s patrol vehicle. The situation rapidly escalates but Gruber remains calm only telling Theo to work as quickly as possible on disabling the vault’s locks.
